Get well informed to hike safely

  • Good preparation and organization are necessary for your hike to take place in complete safety.
  • Choose a route that corresponds to your abilities: do not overestimate yourself, especially since in winter the speed of travel is reduced
  • As the days are shorter in winter, allow enough time for your hike (from 16 p.m. the light drops and at 17 p.m. night has fallen)
  • Avoid going up the ski slopes on foot as much as possible: favor marked routes and trails
  • Drink, eat and rest regularly (caution: water can freeze in water bottles or classic bottles)
  • Do not blindly follow in the footsteps of others
  • Before leaving, find out about the avalanche risks with the snow report and the weather forecast
