The Megève Nature Trail is the benchmark event for discovering competitive trail running. With many routes and distances ranging between 8 km and 74 km, the Megève Nature Trail is ideal for trying out your first trails or achieving your major sporting goals.
The history of the Megève Nature Trail
In 1980, the Megève Sports Club launched the “Cross des Crêtes”. This type of event, which was then called "mountain race", appeared in many neighboring towns: La Clusaz with the Le Bélier race in 1985, Saint-Gervais with the Montée du Nid d'Aigle in 1986 or Chamonix with the Mont Blanc Cross in 1979.
The Cross des Crêtes, whose course and distance generally varied between 11 and 13 km, brought together many runners from all walks of life. In 2017, encouraged by its “running” section, the Club des Sports de Megève successively changed the name of the race to “Trail de Megève” then “Trail de Megève Gourmand”. At the same time, the Megève Sports Club is introducing a new distance: a 30 km course has therefore been added to the 16 km course.
In 2020, the Sports Club wishes to give new impetus to this event by opening up in particular to hikers. Renamed the “Megève Nature Trail”, the Sports Club then added shorter distances. Today, the Megève Nature Trail has now become an unmissable event in the Megève program where curious amateurs and seasoned sportsmen share the starting line.

The Megève Nature Trail 2021 seduced thanks to its freedom but also to its routes as diverse as they are magical. More than 1200 trail runners met at Pré Saint-Amour to take the start of this mythical race.
