The marimba and the double bass in warm, woody colors combine with the flute and the vibraphone with their brilliant and enchanting timbres to shake up the Inventions, Preludes and Sonatas of the composer Johann Sebastian Bach in improbable arrangements.

The Akali quartet takes you on a musical journey around the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The opportunity to discover or re-discover some of the magnificent pieces of the most emblematic composer of the Baroque period through the sounds of this unique ensemble.

• Toccata No. 2 in E minor – BWV 914
• Minuet in G Major – BWV 114 / arrangement from the version for piano, bass and drums by Jacques Loussier
• Allegretto moderato – 4th invention for 3 voices in D minor – BWV 790
• Flute Sonata in E minor BWV 1034
• Gavotte in B minor – BWV 2002 / arrangement from the version for piano, bass and drums by Jacques Loussier
• Aria from Suite No. 3 in D major BWV 1068
• Badinerie from Suite No. 2 in B minor – BWV 1067 / arrangement from the version for flute and piano by Uwe Korn
