Banan'N Jug is made up of four singers and musicians driven by boundless energy, they appropriate the “Jug Spirit” with humor and generosity. Between vocal harmony and solo virtuosity, a real gem to discover.
Like the jug bands of the early twentieth century, Banan'N Jug unashamedly and all-out revisits blues, jazz, Bahamian calypsos, Jamaican mentos, French fado, Chinese blues...
The captivating vocal harmonies combined with the virtuosity of the solos (voice, kazoo, and tap dancing) highlight these songs from all backgrounds: so many stories in various languages, told in music and punctuated with arrangements full of twists and turns.
Refusing to make a compromise between artistic demands and freedom of tone, the Montpellier group feels at home wherever you listen to it!
