Getting to Megève by rail thanks to the SNCF

Located in the heart of Haute-Savoie, between Italy and Switzerland, the village of Megève is perfectly served by national and interurban public transport.

Its proximity to Sallanches station (13 kilometres) allows direct access by TGV from major cities in France or by TER from many municipalities in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.

From Sallanches station, a bus connection is provided by the SAT company.

So don't hesitate to leave your car in the car park using the public transport available to you to come and enjoy the charms of the traditional village of Megève, in summer and winter alike!

In Megève, the buses drop you off at the car station located at 1416, route Nationale, just a few steps from the city centre.

Sallanches station offers direct access from major cities from mainland France such as Paris or Lyon by TGV. You can also arrive by Regional Express Trains. TER trains also allow connection to the city of Geneva or Geneva Airport thanks to the connection “Léman Express”.

At the Sallanches train and bus station, take the bus (line Y83) of the intercity company SAT to reach Megève. As far as Flumet, its terminus, line Y83 serves the towns of Combloux, Demi-Quartier, Megève and Praz-sur-Arly.
