The Palais Megève Olympic ice rink, open since 1969, has thrilled many generations. Large, 60 meters long by 30 meters wide, the Olympic ice rink in Megève has hosted numerous international sports competitions, such as four editions of the junior world championships, four editions of the French championships and a edition of the World Curling Championships in 1971.
Open all year round, the Olympic ice rink in Megève welcomes beginners and experienced skaters on its ice who can indulge in the pleasure of skiing. While the former can use the sleds made available to learn how to master sliding techniques, the latter can skate freely on the 1800 m² of ice.
Musical entertainment, light effects, twirling skaters... Welcome to frosty evenings! At nightfall, the Olympic ice rink at the Palais Megève turns into a real dance floor. To the rhythm of the music, come defy the laws of gravity by dancing on your skates! And for more fun, introductions to curling on the track and petanque on ice come to enliven the ice rink with a friendly atmosphere, where laughter and beautiful falls intermingle.
The Palais ice rink also offers its ice to the Megève hockey team, the Yétis, but also to the figure skating club. Nice training sessions to admire from the bleachers which can accommodate up to 2 people during large events.
