Anthony Benna, the mogul boss
Child of the country, Anthony Benna is the boss of the moguls. Licensed to the Megève club, he trains at the Cote 2000 stadium.
During his career, Anthony Benna competed in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010, those in Sochi in 2014 and took part in several world championships, of which he became world champion in mogul skiing in 2015… in Megève, on his land! In 2016, Anthony Benna did it again by getting his sixth podium and his second World Cup victory, at the Deer Valley parallel.
In 2018, when he was just 30 years old, Anthony Benna announced that this season would be his last. In order to end his career in apotheosis, the famous skier marks two appointments on his calendar: the Olympic Games of Pyeong Chang where he will finish 13th and the finals of the World Cup at the Cote 2000 stadium, on his lands of childhoods.
Today, Anthony Benna is moving towards a coaching career with under his wing Perrine Laffont, Olympic champion in mogul skiing and 3 times world champion, and the Megève freestyle ski club. A great collaboration which, we hope, will give birth to new champions!
Clément Parisse, the rising star of Megève skiing
Another skier proudly wears the colors of Megève. This is Clément Parisse, founder. At only 25 years old, he covered himself with Bronze during the Olympic Winter Games relay in Pyeongchang, Korea. A well-deserved podium for our young cross-country skier from Megève who competed with the best skiers on the planet during his relay.
After two U23 world vice-champion titles in 2015 and 2016, Clément has established himself in the big leagues and intends to tease the top names in the discipline. A very promising start to his career in one of the oldest Olympic disciplines, where everything suggests that Clément Parisse will reach the heights.
Exceptional champions
Over the years, Megève has shaped champions who have forged an exceptional track record. Among the best known, Emile Allais. A true champion, he left his mark on French skiing by becoming an Olympic medalist in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936 and then world champion in Chamonix in 1937.
Others will follow in his footsteps like Émile Viollat, Adrian Duvillard senior and his brother Henri, the wife of the latter Britt Lafforgue and the son of Adrien senior, Adrien junior.
In recent years, the Megève champions have also imposed themselves in the freestyle disciplines, with Anthony Benna and before him, Richard Gay, bronze medalist in mogul skiing at the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002.
Megève has become a stronghold of these disciplines, regularly hosting world cup events and finals, including ski cross in 2018 and mogul skiing in 2022. Spectacular events, which, in the majestic setting of the Cote xnumx, are even more magical!
