Come and swing in Megève!

Spread over 50 hectares, the Golf de Megève, located on the Mont d'Arbois domain, is a mountain course very popular with amateurs and professionals alike. The route, which is familiar with the 1 meters of altitude, follows the meanders of a mountainous relief, sometimes a little capricious. Conifers, birches and other shrub species line the surroundings of this 320-hole course, classified as one of the most prestigious and innovative mountain golf courses.

Maintained like a French garden, the golf course offers an exceptional view from Mont Joly to the Aravis range. The gentle slope of the regular elevation allows the player a real golfing challenge while being surrounded by a unique panorama. Practicable throughout the year, the Golf du Mont d'Arbois is experienced as much in winter when the snow adorns the immaculately pure greens as in summer, when it is adorned with its sparkling green vegetation.

Cups, trophies, classic mid, pro-am, scramble or even stableford, from spring to autumn, competitors at heart have the opportunity to swing and putt, to their heart's content, just like amateurs wishing to improve their skills.

And for golf enthusiasts who would like to perfect their approach, it is also possible to take lessons or participate in a course at the Golf du Mont d'Arbois, with one major difficulty: not to be distracted by the magnificent landscapes of Megève!

Did you know?

Between Megève and golf, the love story has lasted for several decades. In 1923, Baron Edmond de Rothschild built the Golf du Mont d'Arbois with, at first, only four holes. A few years later, five new holes complete the layout. But it was in the 1960s that the Golf du Mont d'Arbois took on all its splendour, when Baron Edmond de Rothschild, passionate about the discipline, entrusted the modification of the Golf du Mont d'Arbois to Henry Cotton, a professional golfer, and his faithful friend Teto Parodi.

This is how the prestigious 18-hole Mont d'Arbois golf course was born. The fairway is still a reference today for mountain golf courses around the world. By creating the Mont d'Arbois Winter Golf in 2016, the third generation of Rothschilds, Baron Benjamin and his wife Ariane, perpetuate the avant-garde tradition of the founding family of Megève.

Always in a spirit of innovation and modernity, the Mont d'Arbois golf course started an ecological approach 6 years ago with the implementation of non-polluting actions promoting plant and animal biodiversity, the biological activity of the soil, free of any fungicides or herbicides on the greens. The Mont d'Arbois golf course blends perfectly into the mountain landscape thanks to preserved flora and fauna and environmentally friendly management.
