In the heart of the Village. You will be able to discover the history of Megève's water, its fountains and torrents. Recommended for people with reduced mobility and families with young children; also possible with a stroller.
0/On the right side of the Town Hall, you will notice the first fountain, near the restaurant "Le Café". Leave the paved square and go up the Quai du Prieuré, which runs alongside the Planay stream (also known as the Cordes stream), between Allard and Le Hibou Blanc.
1/At the end of this street, you will see the old Lorraine bridge of Maz. Before the bar "Le St Paul", go up to the right towards the Church to discover the Church fountain.
2/Retrace your steps, cross the old Lorraine bridge, follow the Saint Jean street, on the left is the fountain of the "Bistrot de Megève" (in the middle of the restaurant terrace).
3/ Continue along Rue Saint Jean to Place de la Résistance and its round fountain. Turn left onto Rue Charles Feige, pass by the fountain of the "Bistrot de Megève" again, and return towards Place de l'Église. Enter the Passage des Cinq Rues, on the right before the Town Hall, which continues along Rue d'Arly, where you will discover an old wash house.
Return by the same route.
4/At the "Les Cinq Rues" Jazz Club, turn right and follow Rue du Comte de Capré. Just before the Megève Museum (currently closed), turn left and then cross the Passerelle de la Charité (rebuilt in 2025) which spans the Planay stream (also known as the Cordes stream) and continue to Place de l'Église, on the side of the Town Hall.
5/Continue right along Rue Ambroise Martin, first fountain on the right, then at the intersection with Rue de la Poste, you will find the fountain at the Maison de la Montagne (plaque with the goat's head). Behind you, a mural in homage to Emile Allais is on the wall of the Maison de la Montagne (created in 2025 by Swed Oner).
6/ Turn left onto Rue de la Poste, walk for a few meters, then turn left just before the Glapet stream. Follow the stream, cross the small bridge in front of the tourist office and discover the Glapet fountain.
7/Climb the paved steps on the side of Megève Tourism. At the top, discover the tourist office fountain.
8/Go down into the Megève Tourism amphitheater, take the stone bridge, then go up via Rue Monseigneur Conseil towards Place de l'Eglise where you will discover the sleigh fountain.
