The Megève is much more than a simple race, it is an opportunity for women to meet in the heart of the Megève mountains to share, in a friendly atmosphere, all the pleasures of trail running.
Megève, the meeting place for trail runners
Since 2017, the trail la Mègevanne offers a 100% female race which takes place on two courses of 8 km and 350 of D+ or 16 km and 800 of D+, going from the village to the mountain pastures. Organized in the fall, this trail offers a particularity in its event, that of choosing the distance of its race! Here there is no stress at the time of registration, because what matters is the form at the time.
After an invigorating warm-up given by coaches from the fitness center at the Palais, the countdown has started! And it was then that in a frenzied atmosphere, the runners rushed to overcome the first course of 8 kilometers. And there, a terrible dilemma is faced: stop, raise your arms and enjoy the village of Mègevanne or double the efforts and extend the trail by 8 additional kilometers on a different route? In both cases, the tasty arrival buffet awaits you to celebrate your victory!
In Megève, the post-race is just as exciting as the trail itself with wellness stands and many activities to enjoy, with the girls, an unforgettable day in the heart of the Megève mountains. The expression “after the effort, the comfort” therefore takes on its full meaning in Megève.
To perfect this delicious moment of sharing, Megève organizes the Megev'Family, a fun race that brings the whole family together, where costumes and good humor are essential.
Discover the route of Megève
The departure is from the heart of the village of Megève. From the start of the race, the trail runners come into difficulty with the climb of the Calvary, which bears its name very well. Then, the path winds through undergrowth, flowery mountain pastures and small hamlets before descending towards the village.
Throughout the route, a clear view of the surrounding mountains and Mont-Blanc is offered to trail runners. Arriving in the heart of Megève, the cobbled streets will receive the last strides before crossing, a few meters further, the finish line under devilish encouragement.
