Young farmers from Megève, we produce farmhouse reblochon from November to March and farmhouse abundance from April to October. In the summer, we welcome you for direct sales at the farm, 1 hour's walk from the Leutaz car park.
Our farm is located in Megève on the Rochebrune massif at 1683 route de Lady les Granges. She's a husband/wife GAEC.
In 2008, Guillaume, 35 years old, set up business with 20 dairy cows. Guillaume's passion is mountain pastures and bells.
After several years of struggle, we managed to find a mountain pasture that suited our herd. Since 2014 we have been climbing the Chevan alpine pasture, a communal alpine pasture, belonging to the municipality of Megève. To date, we have 40 dairy cows of the Tarine and Abondance breed in winter, and 80 dairy cows on the mountain pasture in summer.
The upmounting takes place at the beginning of June, where the cows are adorned with their most beautiful bells and the climb is done on foot (3 hours of walking). At the mountain pasture, milking is done in a mobile milking parlor, then the milk is brought back to the chalet to be transformed into Abondance farmer. The cheese transformation began in 2017, with the involvement of Aline, Guillaume's wife. We are committed to being able to transform our milk to have a successful product made by our hands.
Life on the alpine pasture is essential for us! The whole family as well as our employee sleep up there. We live to the rhythm of our cows. We couldn't do without going to the mountains in the summer... the tranquility, the cows grazing on fresh grass and every day, the sunrise over our mountains... A corner of paradise for us. The “dismantling” takes place at the beginning of October: all our fences are taken down, the chalet is tidied up and cleaned to make way for the snow and the skiers.
Since 2017 we have also been making farmhouse Reblochon in the winter.
We have created a small farm direct sales store at 1683 route de lady
We hope that our Abondance and farmer's reblochon will satisfy your taste buds because we put all our heart into making a quality product.
