Exposition "Itinérances mègevannes", Bernard Just

Thursday April 25
Jardin Alpin 1308 Route Nationale 74120 Megève
Composed of around thirty large format black and white photographs, through a stroll along the Allée Cavalière and the Jardin Alpin, this exhibition by Bernard Just is an invitation to travel and daydream in the landscapes of Megève.
From the peaks of the Mont-Joly range to mid-altitude mountain pastures, passing through stony mountain paths, the four seasons are magnified by the eye of the photographer.
Poetic, sometimes nostalgic, the artist celebrates the place by immortalizing what in his eyes is the most representative. Here, we are faced with an immediately recognizable universe.
Born of a Parisian father and a Haute-Savoie mother, Bernard Just grew up here. In 1956, his father moved into a hotel in Megève where his son was educated. The passion for photography that he discovered as a teenager will never leave him. In the 1990s, he began work on the farms of the Haut Val d'Arly which occupied him for almost three decades and gave rise to the trilogy "Le chemin des fermes" (Cabédita and CDP editions), alongside other publications, such as "The Megève years" or "Romain du Mont d'la Motte". The realization of these works led him to take side roads and to take an interest in landscape photography giving rise to the series “Itinérances mégevannes”.
Catalog of the exhibition on sale at Megève Tourisme, at the Scarlett bookstore and at the Maison de la Presse in Megève and Praz s/Arly, at Postillon in Combloux, and at Livres en tête in Sallanches.
