In 1999, the casting began to find the young boy who would play Harry Potter and, in doing so, become world-famous. Hundreds of boys auditioned. In the end, only two remained. This show, adapted from the book by David Foenkinos, tells the story of Martin, the one who wasn't chosen. While our hero sees this failed audition as a permanent failure, those around him see it as the starting point of a new beginning… To try and convince him, some thirty colorful characters, portrayed by three actors, will take to the stage. To pull "our second hero" out of this downward spiral, a little magic will be just what he needs. A few pinches of comedy and fantasy will be added to the potion to give the audience hope that Martin will succeed and find happiness. Beyond the sets and costumes inspired by JK Rowling's universe, which should delight fans of the young wizard, Number Two offers a touching reflection on the ability to turn the page and accept one's own destiny.
