This team sport is played on an icy surface (the track) which is 44,50 m long and 4,75 m wide. The stones are thrown from a starting support towards a target located at the other end of the track.
To obtain great precision, the style of the player when throwing is very important. Physical and mental toughness are also key. The thrower's teammates scrub the ice with a broom, which increases the speed of the stone or maintains its direction.
