A national competition will welcome French riding clubs, amateurs and professionals on Saturday July 6 and Sunday July 7. Then, from Wednesday July 10 to Sunday July 14, 2024, international riders will take to the track for the CSI** and CSI*.

The Jumping International de Megève is above all a story of people. Created one evening in July 2010, the association Megève in the saddle ensures from year to year that this meeting remains faithful to the initial project: this National Competition is an accessible, free, festive, unifying event but no less of a very high level.

Often faithful to the post of editor in editor, about forty volunteers and other regulars of the equestrian world come to bring their services, their expertise and their energy. Indispensable and infallible support for the association Megeve in the saddle.

Seduced and conquered by this equestrian universe and this unifying and warm atmosphere, it is indeed a whole village which lives to the rhythm of the equestrian competitions and entertainment for seven days. One of the keys to success for this major event which brings together more than 500 horses and 350 riders of around twenty different nationalities, from promising young amateurs to the most successful professionals.

Champion's Prize

Much appreciated by the public, the Prix du Champion returns again this year.

Similar to the ski slalom events, it will see competitors start in pairs. And it is not for the riders to compete together but rather to race on the track separated into two identical courses for the occasion. The fastest will have the chance to climb the different pools to reach the grand final which will oppose the two best.

An impressive show that is sure to keep the audience spellbound!

6 bar test

A must in the competition, the traditional 6-bar event promises excitement again this year.

The game's rules ?
6 verticals are placed in a straight line two strides apart. With each round, the odds increase.
A rider is eliminated from the moment he knocks down a bar.
In case of refusal, he has the right to resume the course at the obstacle of the fault. The record of 2m12.

Pro-amateur event

The pro-amateur event should delight spectators with its very special format! On Sunday July 23, the teams will set the track on fire before the competition's flagship event, the Grand Prix de Megève – 1m45.

The concept ?
Composed of a CSI2* pro rider, a pony rider and a child in shetland, each team will have to take turns on a course of several obstacles adapted to the level of each.
The team finishing its turn with the fewest penalties and as quickly as possible will be crowned the winner. A great opportunity for budding riders to tread the Megève track alongside the best riders in the world.
